Debuting in 2021 and based on the eponymous comics by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse, in association with Amblin TV and Dark Horse Entertainment, Resident Alien follows an alien (Alan Tudyk) who is sent to destroy Earth. However, upon assuming the identity of a physician, he meets Asta (Sara Tomko) and the townfolk from Patience, where he begins to grapple with the moral dilemma of wiping out a species he grows to care for.

Adapted to TV by showrunner/executive producer Chris Sheridan, and executive produced by Robert Duncan McNeill, seasons 1 - 3 are now streaming on Netflix, and Season 4 airs new episodes via
Syfy and USA Network.
